ahhh!!! the holidays are ending soon!!! no more sch holidays for moi next year already, gotta be going to work from 8 30 to 6 30 or something like that for the next 2 yrsssss........

so what have you guys been up to the whole of the holidays????? sleeping like snakes? binging like pigs???? hopefully u have tried to enrich yourselves!! erhem..en-RICH...aka go and find some work to do! else u'll be rotting all day and all night..

btw, guys, exercise more, u'll be glad u did when u go for NS soon...haha, else it'll be tough...but then again, NS is not as tough as before already, but still, u shld get ur 2.4 timing to below 11min40s, otherwise, it will not be a silver, and u'll probably have to stay back for extra training when everyone else books out on a friday evening...haha!!! ohh, not to mention the dreaded SOC, aka standard obstacle course...i cleared it ok!!!! in 9 mins!!! muahahahaha!!!! and since i'm PES B and I cleared it after my deferment at the age of like..ermm..lemme see...23 i think..and you guys are 18, so logically speaking, you shld have no problems clearing the SOC also...btw, if you don't clear the SOC, you'll also be made to stay back for extra training when everyone else books out! haha!!!

and guess what i got for my christmas present!!! muahaha! a lego mindstorms nxt! but i must say even though the programming is drag and drop, i still can't really get the hang of it! i think i must be a programming idiot or somethingggggg..

oh well...have a nice 2010! and look forward to 2011! and look forward to my new career posting for the next 2 yrs! and those who are going into teaching, maybe i'll see you'll next time in sch when u've finished ur teacher training!!! hohohohohoho....

Jupiter as of 12/9/2010 around 11pm from my bedroom window. seeing ok, air unsteady, but not too bad, can see the great red spot and many equatorial belts and festoons.

the great red spot used to be in an equatorial belt (the brown band running across the planet), but the belt has disappeared. The belt is a raging storm on Jupiter that has went on for hundreds of years. So this is quite a rare sight.

alright ppl, this blog post is seriously serious. do take a few moments to think through what i have written here, and not purposefully or whatsoever fling it to the back of your mind with any hint of disregard

took me a while to ponder if i should make this entry, but i guess it'll be extremely good for all of you out there.

so what's it about, basically you, yourself. period.

basically, to sum it up in a few words, "to do, or to die".

this revelation came after my USA immersion, which i must say is an eye-opener and life changing experience, not that i did not know this in the past, but rather the USA immersion served to confirm the little shreds of beliefs i have had for quite a while...

i'll break this up into several segments:

Part I

Grades. It is all but a fallacy. at the princeton university admission talk given by the university staff (aka, the person who reads YOUR admissions and APPROVES your admission), this was roughly what was said: "We get the best brains every year, so how does your grade distinguish you? Nil. Zero. Nought. You can do all the AP tests in the world, ace every single exam in your life, but how will you value-add to the princeton community? We do not want nerds who are only capable of studying and achieving in the academic domains. We want individuals. Individuals = ppl with personality. So if what you possess are just grades = bye. end of the line to your Ivy league dreams.

Part II

Achievements. Do you have a long list of achievements that you can brag about? Take a closer look. Are they minute, one-time, insignificant events? Are they sporadic activities planted over your 6 yrs of life in sch to satisfy minimum requirements? If so, princeton does not want you.

Part III

community involvement. Alright, maybe the term community involvement has been warped by many education systems, but community involvement does not involve:
1. doing minute events of insignificance
2. revelation of sudden event participation to boost this domain in your life

long term is what is important. and contribution is what is required.

Part IV

distinctive individual. how do you distinguish yourself from any tom dick and harry? by grades, ha, forget it. there are approx 30k ppl who apply every yr, and only 8% are selected. how do you make the cut? a superb essay in your application? forget it. the princeton admission office SAYS this: Don't try to make your essay special, or write it such that it appears to be 'special', because we've probably seen and read it before. make yourself DISTINCT from others. do you have any special talents? if yes, showcase. can you play fantasy impromptu so well that ppl will mistake you for some 1000 bucks/seat commandeering pianist? if so, record your play and send with your admission. princeton will get the music professors to listen, and give comments, and hey, if they ok you, you're in. if you can play an instrument, sing superbly well, dance remarkably, showcase.

Part V

this is with regards to your attitudes in life. frankly speaking, high sch for high sch, it's a long throw. students in a top USA high sch whom we visited can,
1. present REMARKABLY well in a moment's notice. aka no preparation.
2. talk and think at the same time
3. see opportunities where ppl see pitfalls
4. focus, contribute
5. MANY other points

the students SEE things differently. how different? take for example project work.
how do YOU see project work? another A which you must get to display on your cert.
how do THEY see project work? an opportunity to further themselves. how so? a simple comparison:

USA student:
project work --> develops into opportunity --> sets up company --> group discussions with CEOs and govt officials --> the rest is history...

SG student:
project work --> "A" opportunity --> closed

a simple comparison. but rather clear cut in what it portrays. during admission to Unis, whom would the person choose?

there were plenty of other revelations as well. if you would like to know, come speak to me personally.

ask yourself this qn: how are you distinct from the other person beside you? how have you developed yourself to the fullest potential with whatever resources are available to you? remember that comparison is done on a global scale. see beyond the walls of SG. see beyond what you are doing. see beyond what you are capable of doing. see beyond the current system.

big qn: what do you hope to achieve? and how will you move towards it?

now at hakone, aka the place where you can see mount fuji..budden it's raining and foggy so i can only see the forest around my hotel...wahah..the hotel is beside the lake (ashi) btw, so it's really really foggy!!!!!

no pictures though cause my cam uses CF card and i don't have a CF adaptor or USB cable..will upload when back in SG.

so how's the great long holidays??? hope you are all enjoying urselves! sch's gonna start in like 5 weeks??? so better enjoy more and do more homework and start revising all ur work from last yr. a bit a day keeps the failing away..haha..it's the last yr critical yr b4 ur A levels..ehh, maybe not even yr, cause syllabus will finish around june..so reviseeeeeeeee..

Omg today's class lunch after school was the ultimate hahahaha.

FIRST, JC began it all by falling down flat on his butt while alighting 97. It was damn funny haha cos I heard the commotion and turned around, saw JC sitting on the floor, stoned at that scene, turned back and continued walking and forgot about it in like almost 3 seconds. LOL. Little did I know this insignificant event would lead to a series of further unfortunate events.

Anyway, sidetrack abit, on our way to the NUS cafeteria we saw some RVian (shall not expose his/her identity) walking in front of us so we (the girls) started discussing about stalking him/her. We decided that we can't deploy See and Shen.

Okay back to the class lunch, we finished eating already so we left NUS and boarded 97 to go to JE.

So on the bus, the bunch of us took the seats at the back of the bus. But there was one less seat, and Shen very nicely offered the last seat to me. What a gentleman! But seriously, trying to gain good karma doesn't always work out. Some other person alighted a few stops later and so Shen took the seat.

Suddenly there was a fountain behind him!

"I looked up, and I saw it splashing upwards in the air! Then it came down and one drop hit my bag." says Cartman, an eyewitness of the fountain show.

Lol I felt like footnoting Nicole's name zzz must be too much PW.

Okay okay continue the story, it was just the 1st wave. A weird brown liquid with some suspensions in it was streaming out the mouth of the guy (a.k.a Guy with Meat Bun, or GMB) behind Shen. In simpler terms, GMB was splattering his puke all over the bus, and a significant part of it on Shen.

At this point of time, some of the guys who were sitting behind GMB couldn't get a clear view of the incident.

Apparently GMB doesn't chew his food well enough before he swallows.

It was a horrifying experience cos I felt a few drips on my arms and was trying to convince myself whatever landed on me wasn't GMB's puke, at the same time watching the 2nd wave of puke stream out from his mouth (though it was abit disappointing that the 2nd wave merely flowed out downwards and not fountain style lol).

It must have been worse for Shen lol.

The bus reached the next stop, GMB stood up and rushed for the door. While doing so he threw his meatbun on me lol I tell you I was damn shocked la. Is like so many abnormal things suddenly happened on a normal day I very stunned already then he still throw his meatbun at me. Wtf.

SINGAPORE : Medical practitioners have warned that the next wave of the H1N1 flu is already here, with the Southern hemisphere experiencing cooler months.

And in Singapore, they predict the country could move away from its containment strategy to the mitigation phase - that is, caring for those who are ill - as early as in a week or two.

In a span of just under three weeks, Singapore has detected some 50 confirmed H1N1 flu cases. And the numbers are expected to surge with the rapid movement of the virus brought about by travel patterns during Singapore's traditional mid-year school holidays.

Health experts said Singapore's current strategy of containment - that is, quarantining H1N1 cases - may no longer be sustainable.

The Health Ministry has said it will move to the mitigation stage only when there is sustained community spread. So far there has only been one local H1N1 transmission in the country.

Dr Chong Yeh Woei, president, Singapore Medical Association, said: "We will be going into the mitigation phase sooner rather than later. I say this because I think that the resources of contact tracing, and quarantining people and isolating people - all these resources, I believe are being stretched to the limit right now.

"We have 74 countries that have the H1N1 virus, we have 10 countries that are put on the hot list. I think it is a matter of time before our resources are overwhelmed and we will have to go to the mitigation phase. Coupled by the fact the we have the school holidays, and the children coming back from holidays will be coming back to school."

The infection rate for H1N1 is relatively high - for every confirmed case, the virus may infect another 2.2 or 3 patients.

Mortality rate is about double that of seasonal flu. So death occurs in about two in every 1,000 patients.

So as a precautionary measure, doctors said it may be practical to keep schools closed for at least another week.

Dr Lee Yik Voon, family physician, said: "This may be based on what is experienced by other countries when the students come back from school holidays...you have a very high infection rate, like Japan, like Australia.

"For flu to spread, it requires close proximity. School is a place where kids get together. If you can prevent that for two weeks, I think you can break the chain of infection."

And since Home Quarantine Orders will no longer be enforced once mitigation sets in, experts said the onus is on the individual to act responsibly - meaning voluntary home quarantine if you are infected.

Dr Chong said: "The onus will be on the individual. He will have to make sure that if he is unwell, he will be getting early treatment, he will be looking after his loved ones and family members. He will make sure that he isolates himself, he will not infect his family members and he waits till he is completely well before he goes back to work."

Dr Philippe Barrault, group medical director, Asia, International SOS, said: "We need to remember this is very much an unknown virus with the ability to mutate very rapidly, to catch the patterns of virus it may meet in the process of going from, for example, one hemisphere to the other one.

"So far the severity is not one of the main issues, but it may become a big problem."

Doctors said they would be looking out for certain groups of vulnerable patients, including pregnant women, those between the ages of 30 and 50, and those with respiratory and cardio diseases. Also at risk are immuno-compromised patients such as those undergoing chemotherapy.

Dr Lee said: "You no longer have the fear of being ferried or pushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital anymore. What happens is that you will probably be tested in that clinic. We will probably do a swab to test to see whether you are Influenza positive, and if you are, and you belong to a high risk group, we start treating you with Tamiflu."

Doctors here said that as soon as the alert button is pushed and Singapore moves to the mitigation stage, the Health Ministry will issue a stockpile of Tamiflu to all 900 or so Pandemic Preparedness Clinics. Already, the clinics have been issued Personal Protection Gears by the the Ministry, in an exercise conducted about two weeks ago.

Some virologists are warning of a potentially more lethal and stronger spread of the virus when the Northern hemisphere experiences winter at the end of the year.

They are watching to see how the virus mutates and reacts. But doctors said the hope could really lie in the development of a vaccine to counter-act against the effects of the H1N1 flu. - CNA/ms

just went to sci ctr for a recce trip today for yr 4 learning journey. planning the learning journey for some classes cause the malaysia trip got cancelled..why cancelled? cause of the pig flu..wat else..BUTTTTT..erhem..apparently SG has more cases than malaysia?!?!? so if malaysia is not afraid of us going..why should SG be afraid of going to malaysia? i'm also not sure..maybe on a precautionary note bah..but too much precaution and the world turns into a state of caution, and caution = this cannot do that cannot do everything cannot do = *i also dunno wat*..okok back to sci ctr...HOHO!!! u'll noe wat..i can draw the sci ctr pass from RV, and i can bring students in sch uni in for FREE! wanna go sci ctr one day? hahahahah...then i was at the da vinci exhibition..not bad..quite a lot of stuff..most of the stuff i've seen in the venice da vinci museum..oh, i must say, the venice musuem was like 1 million times better than the sci ctr one...the atmosphere was so authentic..and the structure was like set in the 1800s..and and...to access the museum, u have to take a boat across the canal one! so nice right????? heyo fellow little green beings! how's life? must be like really enjoying urself now during the june holidays..oops, wrong..june STUDY break..hahaha...sad lah, that's the life of a student, studying and studying..i've been through it so i know how it's like, but don't worry, you only have to go through this for like 5 more yrs, and then, you'll be FREEEEEEEEEEE..ermm..not really, you'll have to start work to get $$$$$, or for the ladies, you can always aspire to be like nicole, who's aspiration is to be a tai tai! hahahaha...ok lah, i know it's not ur true aspiration.....

so wat's the latest thing that's going around the news now? must be north korean and its brinkmanship playaround...if you have been following the news for the past 10 million years, you'll notice that the spineless state of north korea, which i'll abbreviated to SSNK, is nothing on the world map if it wasn't supported by external aid.

firstly, the country is so darn poor..and poverty reigns within the regime to such a great extent that ppl resort to joining the military to get food...but hey, notice that the leader and his incumbent aides are all nicely rotunt and plump? they must be keeping everything to themselves, and then preaching to the peasants "hail SSNK! the state who brainwashes you to believe that you are in the best country in the world! hail SSNK!"

next, what about the military...yes yes..i know, it has nuclear weapons..ad it's using it as a leverage to get aid from the other countries. SSNK: " i'm going to launch 10 missiles next month!" The rest of the world as it has always been: "nono, don't launch, we'll give u 10 billion barrels of oil and 10 billion bags of rice". SSNK: "ok. deal". so basically, what is this?!?!?!? plainsight extortion...from a state which demands attention..and demands free food and whatsoever without putting in a single bit of effort...ermm, ok, maybe they did, since they had to develop nuclear weapons by sending spies to US and Russia to sleep with their top delegates...so yes, they did put in some effort...not none..

next next, what about their brinkmanship playaround? by threatening to withdraw from talks and the standard ropes, SSNK believes it can have the upper hand, since it can feel free to lob a nuclear weapon into south korea or even japan as it deems fit...but think again, do you think the SSNK would do this in the first place? can it afford to launch even a TWEENY bomb into anywhere? i guess not...for they will be met with EXTREME retaliation from all the countries around..rendering it a piece of flat, liveless land...which actually is pretty good! since it clears up a huge piece of land for farming and agriculture! hey! but don't use the nukes lah, else we'll have mutant vegetables and mutated animals! maybe chicken with 10 wings and 1 leg....

sigh...what's wrong with the world...i proclaim the need for the world to be rejuvenated! maybe we should just all be struck with an asteroid now..need not be too big, just an asteroid the size of Sg would be nice...at least it'll definitely wipe out more than half the world's population, and the aftermath will decimate another 50%? and the world shall be reborn from the ashes! and the survivals shall rise! and walk over a new land devoid of all the stupidity and ludicrity of the current generation!

we will be playing bowling/pool before having Sakae Buffet at 0300pm.

OH YES! i've got something to comment big time man! it's abt the bus services in sg...haiyo! especially in the morning, the buses which u dun want to take will always arrive, and the buses which u want to take wun arrive..talk about murphy's law! and when it does arrive, it'll usually be packed to the bring..and the STEWPID passengers will not move to the back of the bus..dunno why huh, maybe they think humans can pass through humans..somehow their conception of this must be very strong...brainless fools! dim nitwits! move to the back! ppl can't diffuse through u you noe...

and and wat's worse is the ultra irregular bus arrival times. have you'll ever looked at the bus chart and see the intervals of the buses? peak period 3-5 mins bla bla bla...apparently the service doesn't think that morning sch going hours is considered peak period..so they'll jus feed this single deck bus to attempt to load a whole district of ppl in...when a double deck bus would be more suited for the job..hello!!!!! the bus fares were raised? hello?? the service made like dunno how many tens of millions of dollars in SHEER profit last yr?!?!??!!? hmm..isnt it supposed to be a public transport? why is something PUBLIC making so much profits and not improving the service? hello??????????? maybe it's because of the monopoly? hmmm..econs ppl? anything abt this from u???

oh oh! and and..there's this phenomenon also if u nvr notice. ppl who sit down on the bus tend to want to exit the bus first at the interchange..observe closely next time..this i serious do not understand. so they r jus gonna stand up, squeeze past those who r standing..and alight the bus...apparently another bunch of dimwits...wldn't that make the whole unboarding process even slower? i rmb there was once when i boarded a bus..66 if i'm not wrong..and this guy was standing at the MIDDLE of the FRONT of the bus. and despite like 1 million ppl trying to board the bus, that dimwit stood still and did not even try to move to the back (no wonder called dimwit right? no brain mah..)...and i happened to be the first one who board...and i was not in a very good mood that day..WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..so too bad for him...i gave a pissed off look and told him to move to the back..of course in the 'speaking to a dimwit tone'...hahaha..i shan't elaborate more here..whahahahahahahah....so next time, i think all bus drivers should be trained and equipped with whips! to whip those dimwits who just cant move and stay still like some wooden post lidat on the buses!!! ahahah! it'll be a seriously interesting sight to see....

just ate fishball noodles for lunch! yum yum! i think fishballs must be like the nicest food on earth loh! you noe, when i was studying in uk, for 3 wholeeeeeeee years......i was like 'where's my fishball where's my fishball where's my fishball....'...then i'll always go to the chinese supermarket to buy fishballs during the weekend, cause they only have fishballs there, but ALAS..the quality of those frozen fishballs always suck! but well, it's better than nothing right...and you noe, if u go to the hawker centre, u can get 8 for 2 to 3 dollars...if you go london chinatown and order a bowl of fishball soup..you get 6 for 4.5 pd...which is 6 for 9 bucks..and the 6 are not HUGE GIGANTIC fishballs, they're like tweeny weeny slightly larger than marble sized fishballs...CHEATER BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! but bo bian...craving u noe...hahaha...

but conversely, the rice is like quite cheap...around SG 10 bucks for a 10kg packet...then u noe...i'm like kind of a glutton..so i'll eat two 10kg bags every month...wahahahaha! i nvr knew it was a lot..until i came back and everyone said i look like 2 round balls...one ball for the head, and one ball for the body!!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! snowman sia! but cold mah..so eat more rice...else it'll be like fish and chips every single day...terrible!!! at first it's nice..but after like 10 meals of it, you'll see and puke...hahah..don't believe u go try, eat mac for 10 days for every single meal..then see how u LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE (or hate) mac....

VERY VERY BAD! so i have decided to cancel tues chem tut, and LENGTHEN thurs chem tut..so thurs, it'll be from 1pm to 2 40 pm! HOHO! i'll try to find another venue where we wldn't be disturbed for 1h40mins..if cannot, then after the 1 h tut, we'll have to move to another room...BO BIAN one ok..cause if we don't have it, we wldn't be able to finish the energetics tut + assignment + go through the few VERY IMPT qns that will be EXTREMELY similar to your mid yr qns from the equilibrium tutorial! so you'll think...wan to go through the EXTREMELY IMPT qns? or want to loose the approx 20 or so marks during mid years? your choice!

and right..for mid years, please study smart.....don't read ur notes non stop. READ NOTES is NOT EQUALS to STUDY. you need to practice!

ohh..guess wat, i ate kfc yesterday! which reminds me...nicole, did you treat lianghui to kfc today? hahahaha...okok, back to me eating kfc...was at JP yesterday to sign the bank loan, so after that dinner eat kfc..then you noe right, kfc gives 4 diff types of chicken: thigh, wing, breast or drumstick. soooooooooo..OBVIOUSLY the wing and drumstick are like micropieces compared to the thigh and breast right? so right..as i was queuing, i noticed that there was only wing and drumsticks left!!!!! yikes!!!! not good!!!! hahaha...so obviously had to siam the queue...until the new batch came out...with thigh and breast!!! hohohoho!!!!!! so right..moral of story is...when you order kfc, observe first...then when you order, you should say this:

"can i have all thigh and breast, change the coleslaw to fries, and drinks no ice!" WAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! let's analyse this statement...

all thigh and breast = you get the larger portions
change coleslaw to fries = you change the soggy wet vege for hot crispy fries!
drinks no ice = replace the volume occupied by the ice cubes with drink

hoho! so you maximise ur 6.40 for 2 piece meal!

alright, it's not REALLY interesting...but it's PRETTY interesting...

yesterday was at the bank trying to sign my home loan...oh gosh, i think i'm gonna be like broke for the next 30 yrs..so you'll better dun extort potato chips from me liao...next time give u'll eat bai2 tu4 tang2 already..hmm..but that contains melamine..hahaha..so cannot give...oops..
okok, back to the home loan...the banker was reading through the terms and conditions and he 'tried' to act professional and whatsoever..then skim through this skim through that...until we reached the CPF page...then under there, there was a clause which mentions something abt some maximum sum that can be deducted from CPF...
soo.....as the ever observant me..hahahahah..so bu yao lian right?, i noticed a problem...so i told the banker "hmm, there's a problem here..the number seems to be wrong"..so the banker replied "hmm, i don't think so...*jargon jargon jargon*" and tried to smoke me (actually us) with his jargon of this and that...then smoke and smoke and smoke...realised his smoking cannot work, then started to push the blame to his colleague...(cause we were gonna meet with colleague A, but he wasn't ard, so A asked him to help), say what the colleague tell him this lah, then something he forgot lah, then dunno wat not his case lah bla bla bla bla bla....then after that, we said some stuff and he like totally agreed with us. this was wat we said :" i tot CPF funds can be drawn out to pay for housing...bla bla bla"...banker: "no..i don't think, but since you'll r quite sure, then maybe".

ok...so smart ppl out there, wat's the problem with his statement??? everything's wrong!!! terrible!!! apparently he noes nuts...(hmm, maybe not even the cashew and sugar versions)..then i was thinking, if i said something like this :" hmm..i realised you should draft a contract to sell the bank to me", he'll reply like this :" hmm, i don't think so, but since you said it, i guess i could draft a contract to sell the bank to you"...whahahahaha..wat in the world man!?!?!?!??!?!?!

so, conclusion:
1. don't smoke, it's bad for ur lungs..
2. think b4 speaking, otherwise ur first thoughts come out...(usually first thoughts are like crap)
3. don't be a bank officer (otherwise you'll meet ppl like me...who try to make ur life difficult..) oops...i'm not purposely doing that..but there's really a problem mah..right right????? imagine you are the person signing a 10 billion loan, and the bank officer can't even explain nuts..do u dare to sign???? no right?????

so today gotta go back again...cause the bank edited the documents and colleague A is ard...hopefully nothing goes wrong now...

ooooooooooo, and guess what...i bought a infra-red thermometer from ebay! i'm gonna bring it on monday during temp taking and experiment on all of you! muahahahahahahahahahah! then i can get some values for me to plot a correction curve so i'll noe how much deviation there is from the clinical thermometer reading..muahahahahahhahahahahahah!!!!!!! ok, here goes my usual rants again...and today, it's about the pasar malams we always see around SG..

firstly, i'm not against pasar malams. yes, they are great places to find cheap deals (on items which are made so poorly that they'll break the moment u touch them..ooo..ahhhh, so nice!!! *touch* *piak* oops, broken, gotta dump), find cheap food (ooo, look at that delicious looking sharkfin's soup counter, only 2 dollar for a bowl of sharksfin! ooo! so cheap! so full of starch! so full of vege! hmm...ermm..wait wait..*rewind*..sharksfin soup..where's the fin? *scoop scoop scoop* hmm..no fin...maybe they should call them "find your sharkfin soup" wahahah!), find cheap this, find cheap that..and of course, find the usual auctioneer trying to sell u a chinese painting for 500 bucks! can u believe it, 500 bucks! lai lai lai! 500 bucks for a piece of chinese painting!!!!! *i think i can draw better.....even though my art is like 30/100 loh......*

oh oh, and not to mention the din the pasar malams make, and the rubbish left all around..terrible! apparently, to SGeans, pasar malam = i can throw my rubbish everywhere...and and and!!!! the stewpid tentages they build seem to like cover the entire field..so walking along the pathways are like walking through an oven...sweltering man!!!!!

oh hoho! and today i saw this guy selling hp...but it's more like he's sitting at the counter and waiting for the hp to sell themselves...tsk tsk tsk..hopeless...not proactive..only engrossed with playing his computer game..or maybe chatting up some mei3 mei2 on the internet..tsk tsk tsk tsk....

ok..i'm gonna go get a bottle of disinfectant spray liao...then i'll spray and spray and spray...spray so much that every single bug and whatever is killed! hmm..maybe everyone in SG should do just that..each of us buy a bottle, and spray and spray and spray! we'll kill the bugs! and...ourselves too! wahaha! of course, not to mention..contribute so much to the enhanced greenhouse effect that global temperatures will rise by a fraction of a degree! which...is not exactly very good....the melting polar ice caps and watsoever *as the scientists rant and rant*...but well, global warming is actually good for the planet! why? check out the h1n1, check out AIDS, check out dengue, check out malaria bla bla bla...why is the world rampant with such maladies? simply because of the human lifestock that roams the surface of the globe, pilfering the natural wonders and resources, polluting everything in his path! so, global warming may just be the key, the key to end the rein of humans once and for all! terminate! exterminate! once the pilferers of the earth are gone, nature will slowly slowly, rebuild itself....and hey! we can say that we contributed to the future of whomever or watever is gonna take over the earth....contribute what you would say..hahahahahha...fossil fuels loh...what else...our decomposing bodies and rotting matter will slowly become fossil fuels...wahaha...

ok, let's calculate enthalphy change of combustion for a human! maybe we could do this in the lab! hmm..who wants to volunteer? yes yes? anybody would like to volunteer? then we could see much the temperature of a beaker of water rises during human combustion!!!!! humans are actually valuable resources if we think of them this way! anyway, everything in this world tends towards increased entropy. our highly organised systems and cells goes against all this....we should be one with the world, be one with nature....and increase our entropy....if u wanna do this without cremating urself, simply, don't gel ur hair! dont cut ur hair! dont iron ur clothes! don't do anything that will stuff neat and organised! all these serves to decrease the entropy of the system...haha..so this means that next time, when someone says this: "why is ur desk so messy?"

you could retort this: "no, it's not messy. it's just tending towards a state of disorder, aka increasing entropy of the system, which is what the universe is constantly trying to achieve"

yesterday i was going around shops looking at furniture...and can you believe it?!?!?!?! tiny one-seater armchairs made of bamboo and covered with cotton fabric costs 3000+ bucks! OMG! what the heck is this? this is blatant rip-off on the part of the seller!!!!! they must be thinking something like this:

seller: "ha, those stupid consumers, once they see that an item has an exorbitant price tag and some french or italian sounding name, they will think it's BRANDED!"

buyer: "excuse me, can i take a look at that branded RIP-ME-OFF armchair?"

seller: "SURE! why not? it's the LATEST model, we're giving a 50% discount. this is the last day of the discount and you r so lucky! this is the last piece we have in stock!"

buyer: "OOOO! 50%! which makes this chair cost only 1500! OOO! isn't this a great buy? for a branded RIP-ME-OFF chair??? i'll take it! last piece right? can give more discount?"

seller: *deliberating* "ok lah, special deal for you, give u 100 dollar NTUC voucher"

buyer: "WAH! REALLY? that's fantastic!"

haha..ok lah ok lah...it's me lah...i think most of you are like 99.999999999999% sure liao...who's me? me loh..ah ber then..

anyways, don't worry too much about the physics test today...i tell you ah, when i was in JC, the tests and exams were so darn hard that literally half the school failed one...serious! if you don't believe, you can ask ur elder brothers/sisters..those like 5 +++ years older..back then, i think the motives was to *kill* the students...why? so kill first, A levels wun get killed, cause the A levels can nvr be harder than the sch tests/exams...

so right, you should take this physics test, and the results, as a learning lesson. many of you are not exposed to an enough variety of qns, that's y i tell you'll liao, buy TYS! then you can see the style and patterns of qns..otherwise, you'll forever be restricted to the same few qns in the tutorials..and this is not good!!! quality study is impt, but quantity gives u breadth...

so wat's now? of course, to look forward to the next upcoming test! chem! as i've said like a million times, the test will be very straightforward and qns will be very doable...it's just that you must be realllllllllllllllllllllllllllly x 10000 SPECIFIC, otherwise, you'll lose 1 mark here and 1 mark there and 1 mark everywhere!!!! which is not very good!!!!! and did you'll catch the hints during the lectures and tutorials? i hope sooooooo.....hahaha..i cant repeat them though..u shld have 'caught' them....

let's diverge a bit....twisties potato chips are very nice!!!!!!!! it's like 2.5 a packet at my house here..the big big packets..and it's REALLY NICE! nicer than the pringles and other brands..yum yum!!!!! *cough cough* arghz..sore throat.....else i would have ate up the whole packet!

yawnz....tmr is gonna be tuesday again..no more school holidays, at least not until june...

seems like the rain is falling in torrential amounts these few days! morning sun, afternoon rain, evening no sun of course, at night rain..the weather patterns are going crazy! it's not la nina nor el nino, it's el insano! insane-no...merge get insano? get it? hahaha

but of course, the rains bring short reprieves from the terrible scorching sun! oh my! how the concrete jungle traps heat..oops, not heat, thermal energy, for heat is the process of transfer of thermal energy from a warmer to cooler body..ahha! physics 101!
and and, the rain is actually good for SG! helps to top up the reservoirs..too bad we don't have enough, else we could store more during the el insano seasons so that the M country can stop threatening to turn of our taps every now and then..or maybe we should all store our own water in our houses! like catch the rain and put them in buckets? even if they are not used, at least it gives us a kick that we can actually catch rainwater and store them? no? hmm..ok...

seems like the talk of the town, aka mas selamat and h1n1 are dying down...america has just superseded mexico as the country with the most number of infections! omg! and indonesia has 1 suspect case too! the problem with air travel, simply allows bugs to spread too fast! maybe they should install personally respiratory devices in the planes, so once you're on board, you breathe through them and wahla, you don't get infected by ppl's expiration! ermm, maybe it's not that feasible...i guess a plane tic would cost like 5 grand to get us flying to JB..hahahahaha!

ahhh..there's something else that's popped out...why does everyone suspect that the previous few posts are done by drchua? noooo..not by him..it's by someone else..but it's a S-E-C-R-E-T! guess who i am? clue: i'm a person. homo sapien to be exact. and i'm typing this out on a keyboard attached to a device that processes binary codes and translates them into text via a pre-programmed routine..guess who i am? no prize though, maybe the prize could be my identity? hahahahaha!!!!!

seems like everyone is pretty bz these few days with the newspapers and tests..oh well, the secret to studying is this:

study via active transport! so how does this work? simply put the book on your table, place ur head on it, and will so hard that the information is actively transported in! haha!!!!! i tell you, it'll work man! the plants have been actively transporting mineral salts for so long, why not humans? for the diffusionists, it wouldn't work, sorry...cause i'm sure ur brains contain more information than the books, so it'll diffuse out along the concentration gradient....haha..HMM, wouldn't that mean that this method is most effective for ppl who's brain store nothing? hmmm...hmmmm...nahh..stick to active transport..it's better..
